HRC Fuse system with current ratings from 2A to 100A with breaking capacity of 51 KA at 500 V AC & 4 KA at 250 VDC

Salient Features

1. Conforms to : IS : 8187 - 1976
2. HRC Properties : Rupturing Capacity : 51 KA at 500 V AC / 4 KA at 250 V DC.
3. Two modes of Operations & Selectivity : Fuse-links are available for Quick Action & Delayed Action. Delayed action fuse links are selective in ration 1:2 with all fuse links complying with the requirements for the operating class gG, no matter which system is involved. While in Quick Action fuse links it is not possible to specify a relationship since these fuses conforms solely to VDE 0635, IEC 241 where l-t curves have not been established upto the higher short circuit current Level.
4. Time Current Range : gG to IEC - 269 - 2, 269 - 3
5. Non-interchangeability : The bases are provided with gauge pieces which do not accommodate the insertion of a higher rated fuse link. Thereby higher rated fuse links cannot be used by mistake. These gauge pieces can be fitted with the help of a special spanner.
6. Colour Coding : The gauge pieces and fuse link trip indicators for different current ratings are colour coded as per Indian and International standards. Thereby fuses can be correctly replaced even when the blown out fuses are lost.
7. Locking / Sealing Holes : Three holes are provided in the fuse carrier. The motion of the fuse carriers in the opening direction can be restrained by passing a wire through these holes and sealing the wire.
8. Access from a distance : The fuse carriers are so designed that they can be inserted or withdrawn with the use of a long stick fitted with a special adaptor. Thereby one can have an access
9. Quick Replacement : The downtime during replacement is minimum in these fuses and no hand tools or special pullers are needed for replacement of fuse links
